My story with Eczema

Hello Lovely people,
This post might be a little bit longer than usual but I wanted to talk about my Eczema and how it has changed my life I like to think for the better (but sometimes for the worst). I was diagnosed with eczema in late June well I didn't officially knew until a bad out break in late July. My doctor had a hunch but waited until it came back fully loaded and told me.
The things that cause eczema to flare up (for me):
-Stress and more stress
-Not getting enough sleep
-Sometimes the make up I wear

I have eczema on my eye lids my bottom lids and my left cheek. When it get really bad my eczema causes for my eyelids to swell up and look bright red. My bottom check looks red and really dry. My friends say I look like someone punched me on both eyes and left cheek except without the black and blue discoloration.

The very first thing my dermatologist recommend me to use was a topical ointment called Protopic (tacrolimus ointment) 0.1% you can only get this via a prescription and it is very pricey if your insurance doesn't cover it. I had to pay $125 for it.

The second thing they recommended was a good moisturizer. I use Eucerin Calming Creme especially for eczema. They also recommended CeraVe Cream or Lotion.

I have come to the understanding this is going to be with me forever and I am slowly learning to embrace it only someday it is harder to than others. I have so much going on that it is crazy to stop and relax.

Some of the things I do to relax:
-Excersice 25-30 min a day
-listen to music
-Take 20 min to myself and do whatever I want

If you think you may have eczema or any other skin condition I recommend you go to your doctor or dermatologist and get checked out Eczema is no joking matter it can become infected if you scratch too much and can become more serious if left untreated.

Hope this helps
-Nyrmirez
