Today I had a not so great run. To be honest I was so sore from the beginning and I knew this was going to be one of the hardest runs I have done in a while. I pushed through it and came out fairly strong after about a mile into my run. Now I'm just hydrating my body with lot and lots of water :)
So here is what I learned from my run today
1) I'm so glad I stretched before hand this run today.
2) Wearing your favorite running gear can help turn your run.
3) Ice packs are my new BFF oh yeah!
4) A crappy run can only mean a great run in my near future
So now I'm just relaxing and eating some yogurt and watching the men's gymnastics and the men's swim team compete in the Olympics 2012. A great way to end a busy day.
What Olympic sport is your favorite? I love all of them ;)

My new journey: Running
So for the past few months (6 months to be exact) I have taken up running as my way of exercising. I am a amateur and have never really wanted to run other than in High school when I did a year of track and field. As I began this journey I realized that deep deep deep down there was something that I really enjoyed about running. The fact that you can loose yourself in a mile and just think of you and the trail ahead. I love that I can escape my busy life of a student and a now a full time employee in 30 minutes. I know this sounds cheesy but I truly do love to feel my feet hit the pavement/ treadmill band.
I have decided to train for a 5K in October. I have never really done one before and I am still really new to running. I have my good days and some bad days but the trill of completing a race excites me. I want to be able to document my struggles, my accomplishments and my new love for others to get inspired.
If you know of any running blogs please let me know? I love reading others stories and how they have handled different situations when it comes to running.
until next time,
Michelle
